Encyclia radiata

Renamed Prosthechea radiata, this easy growing species is native from Central America. The pale green upside-down, cockle-shell flowers have purple stripes and are wonderfully fragrant. Interestingly, the scent varies from plant to plant. An older cultivar I was given had an outstanding honeysuckle fragrance. Long-lasting summer bloomer.
