Brassavola nodosa ‘Grandiflora’

A wonderful species that does best grown warm and bright. Native to Central America, it is known as the Lady of the Night orchid due to its seductive evening perfume reminiscent of suntan lotion. The plant displays compact, thick pencil-like leaves and one to four 3-inch showy white flowers, with greenish sepals and petals and a white pointed spoon-shaped lip. This particular variety is notorious for its very large flowers compared to the size of the plant. A ribbon winner at orchid shows year after year. Great for a sunny windowsill.
