Neofinetia falcata ‘Akebono’

Renowned for its outstanding foliage, Neofinetia Akebono 曙, or Dawn, has a unique pattern of inverse variegation with dark green margins and a wide lime-green or silvery inner stripe. This attractive inverse variegation is called a Nakafu pattern and it is a mutation from Touyoden 東洋殿 which has thin spread striped variegation called Chiri-fu. This plant is a strong  division with nice variegation and a prolific bloomer. White flowers have a lovely honeysuckle fragrance throughout the day which develops fully at night. (Pictured here are the blooms past their prime.)
